Dear friends and well-wishers, May I share the fruitful journey and impactful initiatives of SAIJAYA YOUTH INITIATIVE TRUST (SJYIT) that has been working for the last 9 years in the states of Delhi-NCR, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Jammu & Kashmir. Our primary focus has been on underprivileged girls and boys in the age group of 11 to 23 years.
We conduct programmes that will develop skills among students, and make them job fit, when they have completed their class XIIth or Graduation (or Diploma); skills that go a long way in developing the personality and character among them.
We regularly invest in English speaking and writing, painting, crafting, singing, dancing, photography, quiz, debates, and computer skills etc. We help the students build mental strength that enables them to succeed in tough exams such as NEET, IIT, CLAT, SSC.
The skills our NGO develops in students extend beyond vocational training. They instil confidence, leadership, and a sense of responsibility, enabling them to not only secure jobs but also excel in life. From crafting to communication, these skills prepare them for challenges and opportunities alike.
We also train our senior students to win prestigious scholarships such as KARM, CADENCE, KOTAK KANYA, EYF DISHA, UDAYAN, and VIDHYADHAN that supports them financially by funding their entire education from class XIth to Graduation (Commerce, Law, Medicine and Engineering).
Our students have been trained to reach to the poorest of the poor in their communities with goodies from leading FMCG companies frequently. We also participate in the health related concerns of underprivileged, and provide them sanitary napkins from time to time.
Our objectives are to also develop a sense in students to give back to society, working towards which, they actively created a campaign “Impossible To Possible - Women’s Safety”.
Here, the voices of young women were heard and shared, articles were written and debated, and councillors were involved. Further, we have plans to conduct a marathon run by 143 students in accordance to raise awareness for women safety and health issues.
In closing, SAIJAYA YOUTH INITIATIVE TRUST stands as a beacon of hope and change, fostering a brighter future for underprivileged youth. Our students, our donors, and our partners are the backbone of this mission, proving that together, we can truly make a difference. Let us continue to support and empower these young minds, for in their success lies the success of our society.
